Apple has unveiled today a new line of MacBook laptops with a new design, new video cards, monitors and a glass multitouch trackpad.
Dashed expectations about NETBOOK, tablet or modular solutions the company has instead opted for a redesign of handsets on the process by which you made the MacBook Air. The body of the MacBook Pro 15 is now a single element of aluminum, more durable and thin as before and with magnetic closure.
The Air also builds the keyboard, always backlit but is now black and flat, similar to that of the MacBook. The old trackpad disappears, replaced by a new pad multitouch sensitive glass, bigger than almost 40% and no buttons because totally sensitive to click as well as a wide range of gestures to issue commands and activate functions. It changes also the screen, which recalls that of aesthetically iMac, with a surface of black glass and frame while lighting that is now a Led which guarantees greater luminosity, un’accensione instantaneous and at the same time consumption reduced.
Inside is not the clock processor (up to 2.53GHz) or an increase of Ram and mass storage but the surprise greater collaboration with nVidia card that provides video and even video cards.
The MacBook Pro will coexist in fact two different graphics chipset, probably exploited by the next operating system: the more powerful is the GeForce 9600M GT with 512MB of memory, 32 core and parallel processing power 120Gflop. When the laptop is powered by battery instead activate the GeForce 9400M, which provides performance superior to the old tip sheets with its 16-core processing and 54 GFlop and warrants up to 5 hours of battery life.
This scheda mobile alone is found in the new MacBook screen 13. They have the same design of aluminum and glass, LED screen, trackpad and keyboard but without the Pro Firewire port and processors with the same old models, which remain for sale at a low price of 949 Euro (VAT included). Virtually unchanged even the MacBook Pro 17 “that remains with the old design but sees increasing capacity of the disk and screen resolution.
Complete line of aluminum MacBook Air, also with the nVidia 9400M, and 120GB discs or solid state memory from 128 GB. Change also play video, here as on other MacBook next generation adopts the new standard Mini DisplayPort that, thanks to the brute force provided by nVidia, it can also fly from 30 screens. “From stress finally efforts to make Apple products the least possible pollutants into components and circuitry and packaging reduced by more than between 30% and 40%.
The availability of MacBook and MacBook Pro is immediate, with prices starting respectively from 1199 and Euro 1799 (both inclusive of VAT) and various options including increased memory and in the case of Pro also SSD disks. The MacBook Air is offered starting at Euro 1699 but will be available only later, towards the end of November.
